There has always been a small restaurant at the “Corner” in Riverside, Missouri. Enter Ed & Kathi Rule. They had never been in the restaurant business before, but they always felt they knew what good food was all about. It began on May 15, 1983, when they opened a little 40-seat cafe that served breakfast and lunch. The CORNER CAFE was born. Expansions and new buildings have been built, but we continue the traditions that started back in 1983. We strive to provide the best products, the best service, and the best value in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re part of the family.

We tried to eat at Corner Cafe the day before Thanksgiving. The wait was almost an hour and they had person after person picking up orders. Good indicators the food is good.... but we left. We did return on a less busy day and it was delicious! I had the chicken fried chicken. The piece of chicken was very tender and juicy. For dining they have a back "private" room plus upfront a large area with tables. They also have an area set up like a 1950s diner. If you like comfort food I would recommend you give this place a try.

Corner Cafe was by far the best restaurant I personally have been to that serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner for an awesome price. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. This place is very popular so there's always a crowd especially on Sunday's but it's well worth it and not over rated. I would have to say That Corner Cafe is one of the best places to eat in Missouri and is definitely a gem in my book. I wish they had one I'm my hometown.

This was my first time eating here I brought my aunt for her birthday (I even told this to the waitress) Food was delicious, however when I spend $130 on food for 7 people I expect to get it in a timely manner and not 45 minutes to an hour after ordering. We also sat in a corner with their extra chairs all around us (they kept taking chairs and bringing them back) and it was also very cold. It might be a while before I attempt to dine here again. It was a little hard entertaining a 3 yr old asking for her food and an 80 yr old with Alzheimer's who kept asking why we were still there and what we were waiting on. All we got was an apology for how long it was taking. A discount would have been a nice gesture though.
